My dad's best friend is close to the linebacker and special teams coach at Virginia, so that's making me look hard there.

Jersey DE continues to garner heavy interest
By Mike Farrell, Recruiting Analyst

Lawrenceville (N.J.) Notre Dame defensive end Christian Reed continues to garner serious interest. Who is looking at the 6-foot-1, 220-pounder and does he have any favorites?

“I went to Tennessee a few weeks ago,” he said. “I was supposed to go to Virginia Tech, but I’ll have to reschedule on a different date.

“I’m probably getting the most interest from Tennessee, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, UCLA and Notre Dame.”

A little inside info on Reed. He is one of the three that were rumored to be silents (meaning will commit on the spot if offered) at the end of last year. The other two being Jordan Love and Golic. Reed is still high on ND. He will come to our camp June 16th if we give him a serious look for a scholarship.
