we may like to see 80* and clear skys but guys you are gonna tell me that those conditions compare to what hes lived in his whole life? nah, if it is cold i hope it snows. there is nothing moer breathtakingly beautiful than notre dame when its snowing. its part of the auro(SP) too me it would be a hell of an experience that no other school could offer. the candles from the grotto lit up (i know hes not catholic) but its all part of the feeling that the recruits get. he may hate cold weather but sorry nothing is going to match hawaii. either way i hope the students really show the love for him and make him feel great and i hope the team puts up its most impressive win of the year. this game should cast away all doubts. go irish and come on manti

How is the school going to be able to stop the students? Just put it in your pocket and wear them in the stadium. Is security going to try to take all those leis from the students?

they say they are worried about NCAA recruiting violations. ridiculous, but it honestly doesnt suprise me anymore, gamedays at ND have become so strict and controlled its not even funny.

Update! Lei's are back on! Think its a great idea!

In a recent post I stated that ND was not going to allow students to wear lei's in support of a visiting recruit by providing a letter sent by the University.

They had to write it. The lei's are still on. The NCAA can't do anything about it if ND doesn't sanction the event.

If you are going to the game, I think you will be able to find them at Gate E, or bring your own.

This could be a great show of support. 10,000 + wearing lei's for a football game in the middle of November in South Bend. It's just too bad that there is not a forecast of snow for Saturday. How cool would that look?! I'm starting to regret turning down tickets 4 different times for the game. If you go, send me some pics and I will post them here
