No he didnt. Whenever Cave was in against him Cave owned him completely. The only time Omar got a sack was when Cave was out.

He won't be up against Cave everyday for the next 4 years. He was dominate yesterday. Just because one person stalemates you, it doesn't mean that others do

Golic does appear to be a bit undersized (I'm sure room to "grow" though), but his technique looked very good. You can tell that he's been well coached (do you think dad had some input?)!

Not sure how the stars will be handled with Floyd, but I cannot see how Rivals will continue to believe there are 12 better WR's in this class. After his season and this game, I would find it hard to believe Floyd is not one of the top 5 WR's in the 2008 class. Rival's might not agree, but I bet Boubacar does.

I was very pleased with Golic and Newman. They were probably two of the lowest rated guys in the game and both showed themselves very well. Golic seems like a natural OC where his being undersized is not such a detriment. Newman managed to hold the line very well, just what you want at the nose in the 3-4. A little slow in pursuit, but in Corwin's system if he can hold the line and allow the LB's to make plays he will be an excellent fit.

Having watched that game I completely agree that Floyd looks like the best WR out there. Really the surprising thing is just how much speed he actually has - when he beat Cissoko for the TD grab, it was speed more than anything else that let him get by. This is the one freshman that I see being a starter by the end of the 08 season.

Rivals has Miami Northwesterns #2 WR ahead of Floyd......they were asleep at the wheel during the last rankings. His dropping has puzzled me the most because he accually did better his Sr. year than that of his amazing Jr. year.
