I know its been said before, but that doesn't look like a fall practice to me, more like a spring practice. The weather in Minnesota has been in the 80's-90's this month, so I have a hard time believing that no one in that picture has shorts on, and are in sweatshirts and winter hats - I'm just not buying it.

So you're saying the Star-Tribune forged it, or something?

No, but it could be an archive photo from spring ball.

With this caption?

Linebacker Deon Hightower (left) broke up this Adam Weber pass into the end zone to tight end Jack Simmons during the Gophers’ only scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday.
I doubt it. The article notes that practice was held indoors because of rain, so there's a likely explanation.

Look, the fact of the matter is that signs have pointed for a while to this being an ND/tOSU battle, with this being the only indication that UM is still in the mix. That he wore a hat and sweatshirt from Homestate U to their fall scrimmage, though, obviously doesn't say much. The crucial point is that he's CLEARLY not a silent verbal (again: "If you're looking, we're looking"), and that sucks.

But hey, at least he wasn't wearing BUCKEYES gear to the scrimmage.

I think he should have worn a Tuxedo T-Shirt, because it says I want to be formal, but I'm here to party

LOL!

(I should also add that the article itself says that he was wearing a Gophers shirt and hand - the blurry picture isn't the only evidence. But again, I agree that his attire itself isn't a big deal. I DEFINITELY agree, though, that a tuxedo tee-shirt would have been a real winner.)
