"I've always been a Husker fan. I'm looking forward to it (getting NU offer). It is the same day we play Beatrice, so I'm kind of trying to think about the game, but there is nowhere I would rather go than Nebraska."
Trevor is going to be a tough kid to go after as he bleeds Nebraska red. He did attend Notre Dame camp and did very well, so expect him to get an offer anyhow.

Trevor was offered a scholarship today by Coach Weis. As said above, he is Nebraskas to lose.

ELKHORN -- The Elkhorn Antlers gave the York Dukes a couple chances early, but when the Dukes didn't take advantage of those opportunities, the hosts took matters into their own hands and ran away with a 42-6 win.

The game was suspended with just under nine minutes to play in the third quarter when threatening skies and lightening forced officials to remove the teams from the field. The weather continued to get worse and the game was eventually called at that point.

The weather, or the wind was a huge factor in the game as the wind was blowing at 25-30 miles per hour and made throwing the ball very difficult into the south wind.

York's defense faced a very huge offensive line from Elkhorn, but in the early parts of the game the Dukes were able to stop the Antlers. Elkhorn's Trevor Robinson, a 6-7 280 pound junior, was tough for the Dukes to handle, and eventually the Antlers front line wore the Dukes down.

With 5:20 to play in the first quarter, Elkhorn got on the board when Ryan Maloley scored from 25 yards out, and before the first quarter came to an end, Travis Bailey added a 14 yard run to open a 14-0 lead following both extra points by Jon McKinley.

York had the wind at their back in the first quarter, but could not sustain anything against the much bigger Elkhorn defensive line.

Elkhorn led 28-0 as quarterback Clancy Shannon hit Brandon Frakes on a 9-yard toss, and fullback Ben Caldwell scored on an eight yard scamper.

York was 80 yards from pay dirt, when 150 pound junior running back Reid Roemmich appeared to be stopped when he bounced back from the pile, but kept his feet, and once he got past the linebackers, all he had to do was out run the safety, which he did on an 80-yard touchdown run.

The Antlers led 35-6 at the break, and added another score just after the halftime break.

The final stats show that Roemmich's runs accounted for 78 percent of the Dukes final total yards. York had 96 rushing yards with Roemmich finishing with 93 on 10 tries, while the passing game minus Adam Fowler netted only two yards.

Elkhorn (3-0) had 250 on the ground at the break and probably finished with around 300. The Elkhorn passing game was also effective.

York (1-3) will be home for the first time since Labor Day Weekend when they host Lexington (1-2) at East Hill Park for Homecoming.

York 0 6 0- 6
Elkhorn 14 21 7- 42 (suspended in third quarter)

Trevor was on Power Hour last night and he said ND is in his top two right now with Nebraska. He aslo said that he would like to stay somewhere in the Big 12 or Big Ten part of the country, and he would like to decide somtime this summer. He is also considering Michigan, Ohio St., Wisconsin, Iowa, Iowa St., Kansas, Kansas St., and Texas A&M.

Outlined against a blue-gray October sky, the Four Horsemen rode again. In dramatic lore they are known as Famine, Pestilence, Destruction and Death. These are only aliases. Their real names are Stuhldreher, Miller, Crowley and Layden. They formed the crest of the South Bend cyclone before which another fighting Army football team was swept over the precipice at the Polo Grounds yesterday afternoon as 55,000 spectators peered down on the bewildering panorama spread on the green plain below. - Grantland Rice 1924

Brown, ND's first-year defensive coordinator, played at Michigan."(Brown) said if he would have gotten offered by Notre Dame," Slaughter said, "he would have gone to Notre Dame."
