If you wish to go that route, you could say the same about your rumors that 'something is going on at Nebraska' that have been brought up throughout this thread.

I mean, if you had the pleasure of reading the LJS (Lincoln Journal Star) article from Trevor's dad, it becomes painfully obvious it isn't Trevor's decision to be made. His father was quoted several times saying "we" when referring to the decision Trevor is going to make.

Furthermore, Trevor's father almost openly says he is looking for academics in this quote ...

“So, what does the college selection process come down to? It may be the academic quality of the institution and the social environment. As a player’s dad, you want to be sure they really like what they’re doing and that they’re 100 percent with the decision. It doesn’t mean he’s not 100 percent (toward Nebraska); it’s just that this is the time of year that it makes sense to look around a little and understand what’s the best fit as a total college experience.

If you can read that article and tell me that his father is not HEAVILY involved in his decision, then I give up on this thread because it will be pointless to try and present anything else worthy of discussion in here.

And his father doesn't work for UNL. He works for UNO. Completely different institutions.

From people close to the situation. Can you say the same? And really, what is the big deal? So what if Trevor likes Nebraska more? How many times has schools benefited from parents pushing their kids one way? I'm sure you have been on the good and bad end of that before. So what exactly is the big deal?

My only point would be that your assertions have no more verifiable facts backing them up than any of the other posters' assertions. You are telling everyone here things that you, so far, have not proven, giving no reason to believe these allegations over any other rumors presented here.

I'm not attacking you. In fact, I rather like fans of other teams who bring differing viewpoints to the table. I'll take it over 100 posts of "We need this guy", "This guy would be great for us", and "He's gonna be ND" (with no supporting evidence). I'm simply pointing out why your posts aren't taken as hard and fast truths.

Care to refute anything I posted about the countless rumors about 'something going on at Nebraska'? I mean, you all cook up rumors about Givens, Leslie and T-Rob, then throw them into one as if something is going down at our university. When I present the facts, you get your panties in a wad and go from there. And why? Because you can't refute any single one of those facts, except with senseless jabs.

I don't think anyone ever said there was any concrete problem at NU, it's just the recruiting efforts there are seemingly going in a negative direction. It could be as simple as negative momentum, or there could be something else that is spooking the players right now and giving them cause to step back and evaluate the situation more closely. But either way, NU is having some recruiting problems right now, and we know what it looks like because ND experinced some of it last year.
