If the kid 100% wanted to go to Nebraska right now, he wouldn't be visiting other schools.

He may very well stay at NU... But to question whether or not he's having doubts at this juncture, when he's currently chilling out on the ND campus probably with guys like Sam Young and John Sullivan, is crazy.

Obviously he's having doubts about Nebraska or else he wouldn't take any visits.

I understand why you're grasping at straws here... Many ND fans, including myself, did the same to explain why Justin Trattou took a visit to Florida last year while committed to ND. The truth was obvious all along, but who wants to lose a big time recruit? Who wants to admit something is going wrong? Nobody.

But the bottom line is this: If a kid absolutely 100% wants to go to the school he's committed to, he won't take visits to other schools.

Sorry, I was thinking of Givens. For some reason I had a picture of a WR from TX in my mind when I wrote that.

All in all you better start accepting the reality now that you're most likely going to lose Trevor to ND, so when it actually happens it'll come as less of a shock to you. Have a nice day.
Dont eff with the IRISH husk suckers.

Comparing fans of Tennessee to fans of Nebraska is the same thing as comparing fans of the Red Sox to fans of the Devil Rays. Living in Tennessee in the past, fans go to the games, but they type of extremes they go to in supporting their program and being raised on one thing is completely different.

You have to remember, Tennessee and Nebraska are two totally different things. In Nebraska, you are raised on Husker football. Their isn't another big time school around, their are no major sports team -- so you only know one thing -- Nebraska football.

And yes Trevor did say he wasn't a Husker fan prior to his commitment, but after he committed, he let it be known how much of a lifelong Husker fan he had been. It's the same as a recruit saying "I have no favorite, I'm open right now" when in the back of his head, you know he is favoring one school over another. Playing to the audience, basically.

I'm not doubting that right now. Based on what I know, it is 50-50 at best right now for Nebraska.

I'm actually fine with the idea of losing Trevor. Now if you all were to come after Baker Steinkuhler and take him, I would likely get banned for what I would have to say about ND.

But that was not what my post was intended to be about -- just clearing up misconceptions you all are throwing out there.

Umm ... what?

Dad wants him to get a quality education and has been on him to go to Notre Dame even before he committed to Nebraska. I'm not to proud to say a diploma with ND as the seal is worth more than one from Nebraska. Trevor's dad realizes this and has never let up on him about going to Notre Dame.

His father also sees Michigan in the same light, but a step below Notre Dame. He's willing to settle for Michigan if Trevor sees that as a better option than Notre Dame as well.

Trevor is finally paying attention to his father and listening to him it seems.

Trevor is taking visits to please his father, not because of anything else. His father is the vice-chancellor at Nebraska-Omaha, so needless to say, he is very high on academics. It is why Trevor's father has been in favor of Notre Dame from the beginning. His father has not let up about taking more visits in hopes Trevor would change his mind to go to what he thinks is a more 'prestigious' academic school.

If the decision was left up to Trevor, he would be a Husker. Kids from Elkhorn, NE are usually diehard Nebraska fans. As Larry the Cable Guy said, "if you're from Nebraska and not a Cornhusker fan, you must be a communist."

So basically, the recruitment will be decided upon whether dad wins or Trevor wins. Sad thing is, it is looking like dad may be winning.

About some WR reconsidering his commitment -- I have no clue what you are talking about. We only have JUCO Adrian Hilburn committed, and their has not even been one rumor suggesting he is backing out on his commit.

Leslie -- I can tell you first hand he was ready to commit on Monday to Nebraska. He backed off because Coach Callahan asked him to make an unofficial or official to Nebraska first. The reason he did it is because if Leslie begins to have a big senior season and other schools come calling, he doesn't want Leslie wonder 'what if' and begin to look around. He wants him to be 100% sure of his decision before he makes it.

Lastly, in reading some threads, I have seen mention of Bryce Givens being unsure of his decision. Completely false. Bryce is 100% Husker. Yes, his dream school was Texas, but once Texas spurned him, that was it. Bryce wasn't ready to be 'Plan B' for them once a few lineman transferred.

Another reason to know Bryce is 100% -- his best friend and teammate Jimmy Miller is a HUGE Husker fan. I bring this up because Jimmy's mother is originally from Nebraska and posts regularly on a Nebraska message board. Bryce came to Jimmy's house just to use her account to make a post about his recruitment. He clearly stated he had ZERO interest in other schools and only showed interest to raise his stock to get into the Army All-American game. Lets face it, getting into that game is more about hype and offers list, so you can't blame Bryce for it.

He recently called the Texas coaches and told them not to even bother calling anymore, it was basically pointless since he wasn't changing his mind.

Just thought I should clear some of this stuff up that is floating around.
This post besides being the most BS I have ever seen is tantamount to the Japanese surrendering in Tokyo harbor. Willie2604, all you are missing is the white flag.

Props for not being hysterical about losing Robinson like scUM fans are when they lose somebody to ND, but this is nothing more than the party line that you Husker boys have been cooking up for when Trev makes it official. If any ND fan was wondering whether Robinson would de-commit, you coming over here to post the party line already should make the Irish faithful feel better.

Clear some of the stuff up is almost hysterical. Let's clear some stuff up for you Husker fans once and for all, Trev's dad has nothing to do with him de-committing Nebraska, you guys already know that, so it's time to accept it and move on. CYA.
