Some posters on bucknuts (scout site) are saying it's because of grades. With the high standards they have at OSU it would make sense.

They now have a thread over there that states he may be in some kind of legal trouble. Who knows, certainly not the posters on bucknuts.

What do you mean C2K. When you read a bucknut board you'll find out their standards are as tough as any Ivy League school, maybe tougher now that Tressel is the HC.

I am just speculating, but is this due to the possibility his name is too similar to his brothers'? I am dumbfounded as to why his parents just didnt name him Devom so he and his bother could be Devon and Devom.

It apparently has to do with some off-field issues. I can't find out what it is. All buckeye boards are having this non-discussion policy on this issue. If someone can shed light on this, it would be great.

Whats more, Tressel promised Devoe that he would be the only RB taken in the 2008 class. Now, another RB, Aundre Dean from Texas, who verballed to UCLA before their coach was fired, has been offered. This leads me to believe that Devoe's not coming to OSU.
