Excerpt from Michigan Signing Day Capsule

Although a late offer from Notre Dame and interest in Michigan State and others increased, Martin stuck it out with his childhood favorite. Also, the idea of being a backup plan after the Irish lost the commitment of Omar Hunter wasn’t one he could swallow.

“That did not sit well with me,” Martin admitted. “Plus I love Michigan. I am committed to Michigan.”
