From all indications he'll be getting one soon after Butler chooses either FSU, or USC.

If we're fairly sure that Butler is commiting elsewhere, why wouldn't they go ahead and extend an offer? I'm not so sure he would commit anytime soon anyway, so I don't think it would hurt to offer him now. JMO.

Go Irish!!!!

Those decisions are made by the whole staff, and CW has the final call on all offers given out. Unfortuantly CW wasn't on campus for Walker, or Harper's visits because he was stuck in MA for his trial.

I know it's the wrong thread, but if we offer Harper, what position do we offer him for? Is he a WR, or would we play him on D? With his size, what is he, 6'2" and about 230, hell that has LB written all over it. Maybe RB, if his speed is anything to write home about. Just wondering.

he has been described as a more athletic greg little so I think they see him at WR. the guy would be a great get with his size and speed, but like everyone says we are still in on about four top fifteen WR's in Floyd, Baldwin, Walker, and Butler .IMO harper is just outside of this talent pool. He appears to have as much raw talent as anyone in the country, but I don't know how much experience he has at WR.

On a side note for everyone scoffing at Butler being on that list, there is a reason that Deion Walker and Harper have not yet been offered. And it is either because:

a)The staff still feels they have a shot at Butler
b)They think they have a very good shot at landing Floyd and Baldwin
c)They think either Walker or Harper would commit on the spot and they are willing to wait on Floyd and Baldwin at the risk of losing Harper and/or Walker.

In any case you can't be to worried about the possibilities at WR this year because all these guys are studs and we will definitely land one and more than likely two of them.
