I dont know why Weis would recruit him as a QB i may be wrong but i thought one reason that Crist commited was because CW promised he wouldnt sign any more qbs this recruiting class. if this is true then i believe we have little chance with harper.

He's being recruited as a wide receiver but told that he has a shot to play QB depending on how things go. Weis said he'd be willing to take an extra QB this year or next so long as it was someone who could also play another position. (I wrote about this here, a few weeks ago.)

In any case, it seems to be a moot point, since Harper ain't coming to ND.

I was thinking about his shot at QB. If he were to come he might be the ideal guy to line up as the QB in the "Wildcat" formation. He already has the potential athletisism to be a top flight WR/RB but he would have better ability to throw given his HS background. Right now CW has been using AA in that role.
