I think Allen is faster, plus given the film that we have I think Allen showed he could catch the ball better comming out of the backfield, plus Allen really showed that he can effectively run through the tackles on a consistant basis. Even though they're both smaller RB Allen almost always seemed to be able to power into a pile of players at the line of scrimmage and then still managed to blast through the other side with an explosive burst of speed. Now, all that being said I still think Thomas looks like an excellent prospect, and he would be a valuable edition to the Irish recruiting class.
