You hear that sound? That distinct sound... the sound of sizzling?

That right there is the sound of Michigan getting burned , by yet another recruit that was a UM "lock".

Thank you Corwin . These kinds of recruits are the kind that can turn this ship around.

It certainly makes me feel better that you've switched over from the "dark side" of this rivalry, and are helping to take them down a notch one recruit at a time.

Alright, enough with the smilies for now.

Blanton was the first recruit that Corwin visited after spring practice concluded. He even brought the DB coach along with him, Coach Lewis. If that isn't an indication of where he was on his list of priorities, then I don't know what is. Feels great to have our foot in the door with defensive back commitments.

Since when is ND the Dark Side? Even a Sith Lord can find his way when lost. See Anakin/Vader

the scUM boards are already saying they didn't really need blanton and their are bigger fish still on their board. they're also predicting a higher finish in the recruiting rankings than the Irish one NSD roles around.

yawn.

What, were those bigger fish to fry Dan McCarthy and Jamoris Slaughter? 'Cause I don't think either one of them is headed to Ann Arbor.

To be fair, I wouldn't honestly expect a brutally negative response from any fanbase after bricking on a guy. They aren't going to say, "We needed this guy, now we're completely screwed even though its June." Its natural to be optimistic when its this early in the recruiting wars (and your head coach isn't Tyrone Willingham).

...but when you think/say that after bricking on guys they offered like Lane Clelland... and Omar Hunter... and John Goodman... and Braxston Cave... and Darius Fleming... and Dayne Crist... it starts to add up, and the "We'll be fine" attitude at least looks more like an act than a reality.

The only offer of ours they snagged was Brandon Moore - after we already had wrapped things up at TE with Fauria and Rudolph.

Oh yeah, they did offer Rudolph too, didn't they?

Yawn indeed, wake me when they have a tangible point with their recruiting wars
