I heard Cyrus is going to visit ND before the end of the summer. has anyone heard anything new lately. this would be huge if ND could land someone this talanted at the RB position.

Cyrus is planning on taking official visits to ND, Florida, Cal, and Zona. He hasn't decided on where the 5th visit will be yet.

How are his grades? I thought I read somewhere that he had some academic question marks, maybe not, I could be thinking of someone else.

No, you're thinking of the right guy. I haven't really heard one way or the other how possible academic questions are progressing.

A new (free) Scout article (link) has him saying that we've been recruiting him the hardest. He has good things to say about the coaches and the program:

They have great prestige and I like the coaches a lot. Coach Charlie Weis has done big things in the NFL and I have a lot of respect for him as a human and a coach. He talks about character first and says that's what makes someone a Notre Dame football player. I like the team they have. They all seem like great guys.

He hasn't started to narrow down his list yet, and says he won't until the start of the season, but he mentions us, Cal, UF, SMU, A&M, Oklahoma State and Arizona among his favorites, and says he'll probably visit us, Cal, UF and Arizona. He also has good things to say about those other programs as well.

All in all I'd say this looks promising.
