That was a bad interview on both sides, no doubt. Pryor said he liked the coaches for about half the teams he was asked about. He seemed pretty quiet, like he didn't want a camera in his face. Farrell prefaced his questions with a short novel explaining himself, which seemed to annoy Pryor. I also like how Farrell said, "Last question," and proceeded to rattle off three more.

The one that confused me to know end is he said there are rumors that ND wants him to play at WR. How is it that he of all people doesn't know the story on that?! I thought the coaching staff spoke directly with Pryor and/or his coaching staff. Puzzling indeed...

This doesn't feel like a normal recruitment at all. Just last February, he was saying that his dream school would have been North Carolina:

Pittsburgh Sports Report - Double Feature. Two Sport Star Pryor a Special Talent by Chris Dokish

... but crossed them off the list because its too hot to play in North Carolina, and they're too far away. He wanted to be within 6 hours of home, so that his father could see him play.

So now, the 6 hour limit is no more, and he's considering schools that are even further away and hotter, like Florida and Alabama ? And no re-emergence of North Carolina ?

And lets remember that this guy already committed to Pittsburgh as a sophomore, then backed out of that and now isn't even mentioning them as a possibility . I mean he mentioned wanting to leave the Pittsburgh area, but to drop them like a rock so soon...

Do I think this makes Pryor a bad kid? Not at all. But to say this has already become a confusing one to follow is an understatement. I'm glad I don't have to be emotionally vested in this kid coming to South Bend anymore, 'cause any school still legitimately on that list could be in for a real bumpy ride.

LOL- Would you want to be interviewed by Mike Farrell? I'm sure his coach or someone made him do it. Now if it was Ashley, well that's a different story.

GoldneDomer3 I think the WR rumor he is referring to is USC. He knows that ND is recruiting him as a WR but that they would give him a shot at QB whereas he been lead to believe that USC was recruiting him as a QB but that he's hearing rumors that USC like ND actually want him as a WR. Thats they way I took it.

Maybe you're right, but the way he said it during the interview did not make that clear. It sounded like he was referencing both schools, but I wouldn't be surprised if at that point he was flustered and wanted to end the interview, more than getting the answers straight.

The whole USC thing is a moot point guys because USC did not make Pryor's Final Cut.

Quote:
Pryor has scholarship offers from colleges nationwide and his final 11 are Alabama, Florida, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia.
In typical Farrell fashion, this information was available on Rivals before Farrell even interviewed Pryor. As usual, he forgot to read information on a recruit that was posted on the recruiting board that he works for. Of course that should not surprise anyone because I am not sure that Farrell can read anyway, his information as usual is pretty worthless.

The most interesting aspect of that is if Farrell had done his homework he could have asked Pryor why out of the only two schools that were recruiting him for WR, he decided to drop USC and keep ND. This type question is probably a liitle beyond Farrell's comprehension ability anyway, but it would have been nice to hear Pryor's response to that query.

In the end, I think he is West Virginia. He just seems like the quarterback to fit that offense.
