Piyachi, I was arguing your points that he was not as fast as White, and was too "lanky" to take the beating of running the ball. Just looked it up. Pryor runs a 4.3 40. Faster than White. The dictionary defines "lanky" as "tall and thin and having long slender limbs". Look at his picture again and tell me he has slender limbs, or that he is thin. He is tall, I agree, but not thin or slender. He is built like a brick wall. In addition, he weighs 235 pounds, not 220 as I said earlier. That is about as much as most RB's. That is what makes him so unique. He can play multiple positions including QB, RB, WR, DE, LB and TE.

I'll admit I don't know much about Pryor and haven't paid much attention to his recruitment. So I can't argue any of your other points, but I'll guarantee you right now he doesn't run a 4.3.

How can you give that guarantee if you don't know much about Pryor? This was the time given by his coach during a recent interview.

And we all know coaches tell the truth. Ant I'm not going to argue what kind of 40 time this kid has, but as we all know everytime someone runs a 40 they get clocked at different times . People run faster on different types of surfaces, people who hand clock have different times than electronis timers. The weather plays a part in it, so with all that being said, this young man is a very good talent. But I can't see him running an off. systemlike Pat White, two very different players with their own strengths and abilities.

(No need to get your hackles up just because you want to get the guy - he is talented). But he sure is not Pat White. I don't think someone who is 6-6 is going to weather running 20 times a game against good defenses. He can do a lot with his legs but that kind of running takes a toll on your body, and I think he would end up injured if you tried to fit him into that system. I'm not trying to knock the guy - he has serious potential. Just not as much trying to make him into White.
For the third time, I am not saying he is anything but fast as greased lightning. He may run a 4.3 40...whatev. My point is his build, and having looked at him, he is closer to a WR build than a RB - I still think that's the case. Can he run effectively? Sure. Can he do it as many times as Pat White does over the coarse of a season - especially designed runs? I don't think his body can handle it. T. Pryor = Vince Young, more than, T Pryor = Pat White.

Besides if he goes to scUM, starts from day 1, and Mallett transfers - he is going to have one hell of a rough freshman year. If he were going to run the identical offense I'd say it would behoove him to sit for at least a year to bulk up.
