I posted a similar comment after first seeing that video. Exciting but dangerous play.

Wasn't it Hoskins who tried leaping a defender on a kickoff two seasons ago?

Regardless, Julius Jones and Darius Walker were the same height and weight when they started playing at ND. Two of the top rushers in ND history. Not in Rockne's Era but this millenium. McGuffie has the extra gear that Darius didn't and his Bench as a Junior in HS is similar to Julius as an ND upperclassman.

As far as breaking tackles watch his video against Katy. He gets hit, breaks a tackle, get hits again and breaks the tackle while running backwards for a couple of yards breaking more tackles and THEN outrunning the defenders to the endzone. He runs outside, he runs inside, he cutbacks, and he takes advantage of his blockers.
Hey um, do you ever actually pay attention to who I am talking about? I was refering to Barry Gallup not Sam McGuffie, I have stated before that I think McGuffie already has the size to play RB in college. He looks to me very similar to Armando Allen. I was discussing whether Gallup had the size to play RB in college with gallup21. If you go back further in the thread you will see that I already made the same statement as you did about McGuffie weighing 190+ and still only a Jr.
