I think the feeling amongst pundits and fans alike is that Notre Dame has him locked up.
That's what I've heard as well. I've heard from several different sources that he's already commited, and they are just waiting to publically announce it later this weekend on Fri, or Sat to gain some more recruiting momentum and create more of a buzz for this weekend's events when there will be so many recruits in town for the B/G game.

I will have to say that if Fleming does not commit soon, I will get very nervous that it is turning into a Benn situation. I know it probably isn't that way, but I reserve my right to get nervous, none the less.
Nothing wil be like the Benn situation, and i'm tire of hearing his name. As will Benn be in a few years of hearing ND, wishing what could've been.

That is the way to do it. Having alot of recruits watching another guy commit right in front of them, and telling them to get in on this soon to be gravy train.

Ahh -- I like the sound of that; it's a good strategy.

But didn't we say "no silent commits"?

I don't think that's true, exactly. A recruit can be committed to Notre Dame without making a public announcement. But, it can't be a "soft" commit. That is, once you commit to Charlie, you can't go visit other schools, receive other coaches into your house, etc. If you do that, the Charlie will assume that you're no longer committed and move on to the next guy.

Fleming may have committed to Charlie, but just hasn't announced it publicly, yet. It doesn't look like he's taken any trips lately, except to Notre Dame.
