WARNING....venting ahead
Most of the discussions on Scout and Rivals suck because they are full of trolls. Plenty of supporters of other teams that have nothing better to do in their useless life than to try to start arguments and false rumors on opposition team sites. These trolls ruin everything.

So I ran across Irish Envy site last year. Finally, a site where NOTRE DAME fans can come together, congregate, and have an honest discussion about Notre Dame without many of the distractions. Its been nice so far.

Now, if anyone here has ever been to "Buckeye Planet" (seriously doubting many of you have), you would not see my name there posting information and slanted views about the direction of future recruits (only those that ND has an interest in). So why is it that Ant80 desires to come around here and do the same. Inquiring minds want to know. Truth be told, he has not yet stepped on too many toes or been out of line. However, the troll potential is there. I, for one, hope you wander on back to BP and hang out with those of equal intelligence as yourself. Just seeing that OSU logo makes me gag. Check your schedule, Notre Dame is not on it. You'd rather play the Kent State, Cincinnati, and San Diego State's of the world.

I don't get your point. In fact, I am not even sure you have one.

First off, this is a public message board. There are no rules restricting entry based on affiliation. Secondly, I am a buckeye fan, and a college football fan. I enjoy following the game and like to hear other people's opinions. I post here, on an Alabama forum, Michigan forum, and anywhere I WANT TO. I respect other people's opinions, but don't take **** when it is handed to me. And I also contribute what I can when I can (case in point being my painstaking tally of ND's class breakdown posted on the main recruiting board, which I eventually had to take down).

By your own admission, you haven't visited BP. Those who have, often come to the conclusion that they are the most informed cfb recruiting board. I am simply contributing by taking that information, for some recruits whom both ND and tOSU are pursuing, and posting that in here. If you read carefully, I did mention that I think ND gets McCarthy, so you can't even accuse me of "posting slanted views" of recruits.

Now I was responding to Irishknight's post, and I gave specific reasons for my comments. Your statements do not bear any relevance and seem to be said out of spite because of my single OSU logo that makes you "gag". What I find hilarious is that even your comments suggest that I have being polite around here. Considering that, your "troll potential" doesn't hold much water. Now I don't know what your pet hate issue is with OSU and OSU fans, but let it just be said that I don't care. You are welcome to kick me, negatively rep me or change my user title to posted Mo Clarett's bail any time you want.

The story going around here in the Cardinal Mooney circles is that, when Charlie made a visit to the school, he left some bad impressions with the staff and the some of the faculty of the school. It's all the hub-bub around here that Charlie is kind of a "so and so", which is certainly surprising considering the strong love that ND gets around here.

Just passing it along. I graduated from Cardinal Mooney (Kyle and Danny's school), my cousin is best friends with Kyle, and I know that whole situation pretty well. Take it for what it is. Not trying to stir the pot or anything, just saying that Charlie's personality can rub people the wrong way.

I think we can all agree that CW can be a bit abrasive at times. It will turn some recruits off, but I think it's better for recruits to know that before they come to campus than after when it's too late.

Oh, I agree totally.

I don't know if it had any effect on Danny's recruitment, but this incident was recently when he came to visit him. I guess he was really pushing the coaching staff at Mooney as to why this wasn't over yet. I dunno, just what I hear.
