From the Chicago Tribune, on Cwynar's team (he gets a mention at the end):

Quote:
Marian Central's football exploits belie the reality of the program.

When the 16th-ranked Hurricanes, last year's Class 5A runners-up, travel to Marmion Academy on Saturday, you'll see only 24 players in uniform.

Actually, coach Ed Brucker can use only 23, because starting quarterback Jon Budmayr is out three games with a pulled hamstring. The varsity numbers are so low that the Hurricanes practice against the sophomore team, which has 20 players.

"It just seems like more and more kids at our school are going out for golf and playing (club) tennis rather than football," said Brucker, who will have seven players going both ways.

"Our backup quarterback (Andy Stochl), who transferred from Grant, was just learning the offense as a receiver. Now he's the quarterback, and he also has to play in the secondary on defense."

Stochl will get plenty of support from Notre Dame-bound offensive tackle Sean Cwynar (6-4, 290) and fellow tackle Cody O'Neill (6-3, 275).
More here, a couple stories down.
