| In what would have been a surprise probably only if it did not happen, Brandon Newman gave the Irish his verbal committment today. Surprise or not, it is great news for ND to have a legitimate NG for the 3-4. Brandon was one of the most heavily recruited players by the Irish this year, and CB seemed to make it his personal mission to convince Brandon that ND is the best place for him. Mission successful. Another recruiting coup for CB and CW, and more evidence that CW knew exactly what he was doing when he hired CB, and he hasn't even coached a down in a live game yet.
