DT Brandon Newman from Louisville, KY gave his long awaited commitment to the Irish coaching staff this weekend, in what continues to be an outstanding recruiting class this year for the Irish. In the minds of many, things couldn't be comming along any better if the script had been writen by Larry David himself. With his commitment Brandon becomes the 13th member of the '08 ND recruiting class, the 6th defensive commitment, and the 3rd on the DL. Brandon projects as the all important NT in ND's new 3-4 personnel scheme, and he chose Notre Dame over schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Louisville, Stanford, and Kentucky.
