James McDonald kept Notre Dame as his leader until Tuesday when the University fired head coach Tyrone Willingham. Where do the Irish stand with the Washington, D.C. wide receiver? And what does McDonald think of Utah coach Urban Meyer, who offered the receiver a scholarship earlier this year?

The firing of Tyrone Willingham continues to affect recruiting. Dace Richardson, a 6-foot-6, 300-pound tackle from Wheaton, Ill., had been planning on making Notre Dame his fifth official visit but the news out of South Bend changed that. The Irish are now out of the mix with one of the country’s top tackles.

Ricardson has basically vommitted to ohio state a long time ago, he just wanted to take all his visits for the experience. I don't care if we lose Mcdonald he's not a major recruit or even a good one for that matter. Dj hord is the major receiving recruit we need. Lawrence wilson is the only one that has decommitted, he and his father were very upset about willingham they were told by some ND officials that willingham wouldn't be fired, that ND honors there contracts. Wilson is currently looking at Pitt but hasn't ruled out notre dame.
