Gotta have a Timmy Brown mention. I'm going with the punt return versus USC in '86. Set up the game-winning field goal in what really was the turning point of ND football in the eighties. There were several losses that year that were oh so close and the team finally broke through.
Honorable mention for Timmy Brown: chasing down the Texas A&M "12 man" goon who stole his towel in the 1988 Cotton Bowl. Naturally, Pusberger blamed Brown for the altercation, proving yet again, nothing good has ever come out of Hammond. |
